QA Developer in Test

Location: Initially office-based, transitioning to hybrid (2 days from home)
Salary: £45,000 + Pension + Health Benefits + 5-6 Weeks Holiday

The Opportunity

We are looking for a QA Developer in Test to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, proactive individual who thrives on both manual and automated testing and enjoys using the product itself to develop and configure test scenarios. You’ll be working on a highly configurable product, requiring a strong understanding of abstract development rather than testing singular applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Undertaking manual and automated testing to ensure product quality
  • Using the product to develop and configure test scenarios
  • Writing and executing test cases for a configurable development tool
  • Working closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of testing into the development process
  • Mentoring team members and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance environment

What We’re Looking For

  • A driven, can-do attitude – someone who rises to challenges with enthusiasm
  • Quick learner – able to rapidly understand new products and technologies
  • Team player & independent worker – able to collaborate effectively but also take ownership
  • Excellent communication skills – able to write and articulate clear, concise technical documentation
  • Desire for growth – personally, as part of a team, and within the company

Technical Skills Required

  • Database Testing: Microsoft T-SQL for back-end testing (extensive use of configurable T-SQL within the product)
  • Web Testing: .NET Single Page Applications, JavaScript
  • Automation Tools: Selenium, Python, Postman
  • Browser Debugging: Chrome Developer Tools

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Jira, Confluence for documentation & tracking
  • Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration
  • Microsoft SQL Server, Redgate Tooling
  • Experience working in an Agile, Scrum-based environment

What We’re Not Looking For

  • Average QAs looking to move on every 18 months. We want someone who is truly passionate about building something great and long-term

What’s In It for You?

  • A challenging and rewarding role in a small, dynamic team
  • The opportunity to be the first QA Developer in Test with strong enough development skills to make a real impact
  • £45,000 salary + benefits (Pension, Health Cover, 5-6 Weeks Holiday)
  • Office-based initially (for onboarding and product immersion), then transitioning to hybrid (2 days from home)

If you’re a hyper-logical thinker who enjoys working with abstract testing scenarios and wants to be part of a high-performing team, apply now.
