How we manage the process

It’s paramount that we forge strong relationships with candidates in our ever-growing network of local talent. Developing trust allows us to manage their expectations well, helping us to minimise risk throughout the hiring process. From the moment we understand your needs, a process begins, from screening to post-placement care:

1. First Contact

We outline the candidate’s desirables, genuine reasons for leaving, and intentions for finding their next role.

Why and what are they looking for? How far are they into their search? Where have they been successful/unsuccessful, and who else are they interviewing with? Who is our competition?

Qualifying their level of experience, we understand your market needs so our consultants can accurately assess their skill set against your expectations.

2. Delivering Your Opportunity

Acting as an extended voice to your business, we deliver an in-depth pitch about the job role, company culture, and organisational structure. What is your USP as an employer?

3. Interview Preparation

Guiding the candidate through the process to get the most out of the time you commit to speaking with them. The more we work with you, the better we understand what it takes to impress.

4. Post-Interview De-Brief

As soon as the candidate has finished the interview, we will debrief them on how the interview went.

We will ask about their thoughts on the organisation, the role responsibilities, how they connected with the interviewers, signals about the company culture, understanding what they feel they can bring to the role, whether they feel there are any gaps in their experience, how they feel they conducted themselves in the interview, overall how much they like the role, and how it compares to any competition. It also gives us another chance to reconfirm salary expectations.

Being an external intermediary enables us to gain transparency from the candidate, to help overcome any obstacles without causing conflict or anxiety.

5. Pre-Closing an Offer

Throughout the process, we paint a strong picture of how a candidate will react to different offers and ultimately, what’s going to get them over the line.

We speak directly to them to identify what their 100% acceptance parameters look like before an offer is put forward, showcasing the risks of what leads them to say “no”, strengthening our chances of securing a “yes”.

Counter Offers – Are they expecting their employer to retain them? How will they react and why? This information is invaluable when obtaining an offer acceptance.

6. Delivering Your Offer

At this stage, expectations on both sides should be aligned, allowing us to deliver the good news. Should further negotiation be necessary, we will work progressively with you and the candidate to find a solution that suits both parties.

We manage the timescale in which candidates respond to an offer. While we appreciate it’s a time-sensitive decision, we do not put unnecessary pressure on the candidate, understanding that it’s an important choice to make.

We obtain and share the candidate’s information as requested to progress the formalities, such as working with you to send out a contract or offer letter.

7. Keeping in touch

Delivering notice can be daunting for some candidates, after offer acceptance we consult with the candidate about how to deliver their notice, and confirm this process goes smoothly, whilst being on hand to discuss any counter-offers.

We converse with the candidate to advise that any outstanding interviews they had previously are cancelled.

We then regularly catch up with the candidate to ensure their interest is maintained and that they feel comfortable during their notice period.

8. Post-Placement Care

We call the candidate once post placement, usually withing the two weeks of them joining. to make sure the transition has gone smoothly.

We prefer not to keep in touch regularly, as this can be seen as bad industry practice. Ultimately, no news is good news.

We may be in touch for their their thoughts, feedback, and testimonials regarding their experience with CloudScope.
